Cowes Bay

PROBLEM

The single glazed Timber Joinery especially the doors were due for major refurbishment and/or replacement. Also the home offered more indoor out door flow potential than its current joinery specifications provided.

SOLUTION

BubbleDG supplied and installed High quality double glazed aluminium joinery.

After some consultation with the Customer we came up with some changes that really opened up the flow and feeling of space in the home.
We replaced several half height windows with full height doors to maximise Flow on to decks and some full Height windows in other areas to increase light into the rooms.

OUTCOME

“Russell from Bubble Double Glazing did an amazing job at our place. He gave great advice on section of windows and what we could and couldn’t do. The double glazing has made the house cosy and created a new modern look. I’d highly recommend Russell and his workmanship.”

O’brien Project

PREMISE

The O’brien property, completed in 2005, lacked double glazing as it was built before it became a building requirement.

PROBLEM

The existing single-glazed windows and outdated joinery led to inefficiencies in insulation and functionality, prompting the need for an upgrade. The property required a retrofit of double glazing units, conversion of casement sash windows to awning sash, and refurbishment of joinery handles and sliding door rollers. Additionally, two large sliding door units needed to be supplied and glazed at the front of the property.

SOLUTION

Russell and his team at Bubble Double Glazing expertly retrofitted 95 glazing units using colour-matched adaptors, replaced the sashes, and refurbished all hardware throughout the process.

OUTCOME

The clients were “delighted with the results.” The retrofit resulted in a significantly warmer property, with reduced usage of heat pumps to shorter periods in the morning and evening, rather than throughout the day. All windows and doors now open, close, and latch as if they were new.

CLIENT REVIEW

Russell and his team at Bubble Double Glazing expertly undertook the retrofit of 95 glazing units with colour matched adaptors, replacement sashes, and refurbished all hardware as they progressed.

We are delighted with the results – the property is very noticeably warmer, and we are using the heat pumps for much shorter periods morning and evening, instead of throughout the day – and everything opens, closes and latches like new.

“We had Russell Tennent recently retrofit double-glazing on our Waiheke Property. Russell organised all aspects of the project and it was completed on time and on budget. We are thrilled with the result and are now enjoying a warm, quiet house with improved views. As we were not on site during the process, we really valued Russell’s regular communication through emails and over the phone. Russell is a thoughtful tradesman who noticed a few other maintenance issues about our place and alerted us to those. The work we had done has increased the value of our home. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.”
